These donuts are like a good ol’ apple cider donut you get at the apple orchard, the smell, cinnamon sugar coating and the light and airy cake texture is just oh-so-delish!
Getting right into the details because you need to make them ASAP!
RECIPE RUNDOWN on these Donuts:
Flavor- perfect-ly apple orchard flavored fall smelling yummy donuts.
Texture- light, airy and cake-y with a nice texture crunch from the sugar coating they are rolled in.
Ease of making- easy peezy, combining everything into 1 bowl and spreading into a donut pan!
Ease of clean up- easy, 1 bowl, 1 spoon and a donut pan.
TIPS for making: DO NOT TOUCH THEM UNTIL THEY ARE FULLY COOLED! I made this mistake and they just crumbled apart, they need to finish cooking and setting in the pan, don’t be impatient like me!
Customization: I don’t recommend much for customizing these donuts except you could roll them in powdered sugar instead of cinnamon sugar if you love that more!
Additional notes: please don’t try to remove them from the pan until they are 100% cooled off, they need to finish setting and cooking in the muffin pan.

Ingredients
WET INGREDIENTS:
- ¼ cup melted vegan butter
- ¼ cup plus 1 tablespoon apple cider
- 1 tsp vanilla
- ¼ cup unsweetened plain apple sauce
- ¼ cup pure maple syrup
- 1 TBSP vegan cane sugar
- 2 TBSP packed brown sugar
DRY INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup unbleached all purpose flour
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 1 ½ tsp baking powder
- Pinch of sea salt
- ¾ tsp cinnamon
ROLL IN:
- ½ cup vegan cane sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
Pre-heat the oven to 350˚ F
- In a large mixing bowl add the butter and melt in the microwave, then add in the rest of the wet ingredients.
- Add in the dry ingredients and mix.
- Spray a donut pan with non-stick spray and scoop batter into each donut tray, bake for 17 minutes and remove and let cool completely before trying to remove them! (at least 30 minutes)
- In a small bowl add the cinnamon and sugar, gently dip each donut in the mixture and get it all coated!
Notes
Store in a sealed container for up to 4-5 days
