I mean, what’s better than an ice cold super fruity and sweet PLUS healthy smoothie in the summer? Ahhh I hope you said nothing! 😉
Smoothies are my absolute favorite and berries are my favorite thing to put in them! (how many times could I say favorite in this post?!) HA!
Smoothies also make the best most convenient breakfast ever! Am I right?!
I mean literally throw a bunch of yummy ripe fruit in a blender and it’s pretty much a guarantee that it’s going to taste amazing! (okay maybe not a guarantee but pretty close) 😉
I know I have a lot of smoothies and nice creams on this blog but I can’t help it! Especially in the summer! I mean to be totally honest I wait all winter long to start sharing smoothies with you all!
I knowww it's not officially summer yet but it's close enough in my mind!!!

for me every summer I anticipate (like an impatient little kid) more walks with the pupperz, enjoying the outdoors, bonfires, rollerblading with the pupperz, (see this post to catch a look at the pupperz after a rollerblade sesh) 😉 bike riding and nights just looking up at the stars! summer is the best! tell me what you favorite thing is!!! 😉
Anyways back to this smoothie, what's in this Blueberry Elixir Smoothie aka: cup of purple good-ness? 😉
apples- sweet crisp!
strawberries- VITAMIN C!
blueberries- antioxidant superfood!
bananas- adds volume and a nice creamy consistency! plus when they are already frozen it helps to keep the smoothie cold!
coconut water- you can also use juice or filtered water, I switch between the three of them!

Blueberry Elixir Smoothie
Blueberry Elixir Smoothie is packed with blueberries, apples, bananas and strawberries and blended with coconut water!
- Cook Time: 5 mins
- Total Time: 5 mins
- Category: Smoothie
Ingredients
- 1 apple (I use breaburn) I also left the skin on my apple
- 5 large frozen strawberries (if your are small use 6-7_
- ½ a frozen banana (chop up before blending)
- ½ cup frozen blueberries
- 2-3 handfuls of ice
- ¾-1 cup coconut water for blending (I use ZICO brand)
Instructions
- add everything into a blender and blend until smooth!
- (if you have a good blender the seeds and skin from the strawberries and blueberries should not be noticeable, if they bother you, you may want to strain it before drinking, I DO NOT strain mine because I don't notice the seeds because they are SO tiny)
- makes about 16-18 oz.
sweet + refreshing + cold + smoothie!
