Cinnamon Chocolate PB Crispie Bars -Vegan -GF
- Prep Time: 5 mins
- Cook Time: 10 mins
- Total Time: 15 mins
- Yield: 12 1x
- Category: dessert/bars
Ingredients
- ½ cup brown rice syrup
- ½ cup vegan cane sugar
- ½ cup natural PB ( I used the creamy kind from PB&Co)
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 ½ cups GF brown rice crisp cereal
- 1 cup GF chocolate rice crisp cereal
- ½ - ⅔ cup vegan chocolate chips ( I used enjoy life brand )
- Extra cinnamon for topping!
Instructions
- In a pan add your brown rice syrup, sugar and PB and turn on medium heat?
- Continually stir mixture until it is well combined and slightly starts to simmer just a tiny bit
- Turn heat off and mix in your rice crisp cereal and cinnamon
- Spray a pan with non-stick spray and then transfer the mixture into the pan and use the back of a spoon or your hands to firmly press the mixture down/together
- (You can spray your spoon or hands with non-stick spray to make it less sticky)
- Melt you chocolate chips in the microwave and pour over the top, spread evenly, top with more cinnamon and let sit until firm (can put in freezer for 15 minutes to spped up the process of the chocolate setting!)
- Enjoy!
Notes
for the chocolate topping it says ½ to ⅔ cups of chocolate... the amount you use depends on how thick you want your chocolate on top to be I only used ½ cup!
