This Easy Apple Crisp is full of so much flavor, sweet apples rolled in cinnamon and sugar, topped with a crunchy oat topping that just takes this crisp over the top! If you love a good crisp give this a try you are sure to love it, that is if it makes it to the oven before you eat the topping! 😉Â
fall baking... isn't it the greatest? all the spices and smells and warm desserts... I don't know about  you but I love how warm feeling fall baking makes your house feel!
ok this is the very first crisp I have ever made and let me tell you, it was super easy and really delicious!
it literally took 20 min or less to throw together and pop in the oven! ...ok it might take a little bit longer if you have to re-make the oat topping because you "tasted" it too many times 😉 yeah its that good! try not to eat it all before it gets on top the apples!
so, like I said above, this is the first crisp I have ever made (I have eaten them before... apple ones, blueberry ones, mixed berries ones) but never made one... until now... and let me tell you, I don't know why I have never made them before! they are so easy and they taste sooo goood!
This easy apple crisp has those super soft apples topped with crunchy but not too crunchy oat topping ... ya know those topping that are so crunchy and hard it's just too hard to eat with the filling that is soft and ooey gooey, not this one! it's just the right amount of crunch 😉
so whats in this pretty little crisp?
well you got your apples coated in sugar, and spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, and all spice mmm the smell is so delisious, yeah I said the smell is delicious, doesn't anyone else ever think that smells have a taste?...or is it just me? HA!
Next you got that topping...  let me tell ya, I know that your supposed to taste things all you make them, but you might not want to taste this oat topping because you might not be able to stop "tasting" it and you might end up needing to make more! k seriously though, taste it but just try to control yourself  😉
oh, and I can't forget about the homemade caramel sauce on top this beauty! (not vegan) it just make it taste that much better, I mean it tastes amazing by itself so don't worry if you don't have time to make the caramel sauce but it really just adds a nice gooey texture to this apple crisp!

- ½ tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp all spice
- ¼ tsp nutmeg
- ¼ tsp salt
- Topping:
- 1 cup rolled oats

- pour the oat topping mixture over the apples in the pan
- place in the pre- heated oven for 50-60 minutes
- once done remove from oven and let cool before serving...
- optional make homemade caramel topping while the apple crisp is in the oven
