Yes we are taking those crispy flavorful Baked Falafel balls I just showed you how to make and turning them into a naturally vegan healthy (because they are baked falafels instead of fried obviously) easy sandwich that you are going to LOVE! Lets get right into the details of how to make this tasty tangy sauce topped sandwich!

What is a Falafel Sandwich?
This is seriously the best falafel recipe! To make this sandwich you will first need to make a batch of my Baked Falafel balls, after that it’s literally just assembly.
A falafel itself is a flavorful herb filled aromatic tasty ball of goodness and to make it a sandwich you place it on some bread either Naan like I used or stuffed in a pita and topped with all kinds of tasty and tangy toppings to compliment the flavor of the herb filled balls. Of course we cant forget the sauce, you always need a sauce to add to sandwiches right? And today I’ll be showing you the best hummus sauce that is super easy!

Toppings:
You can use so many different toppings for a falafel sandwich but here are a few of my favorites:
- Naan or pita bread
- Hummus or tahini sauce
- Avocado
- Tomato
- Lettuce
- Cucumber
- Pickles
- Herbs
- Onion

Falafel Sandwich Sauce:
Usually I see people using a tahini sauce or a yogurt sauce over their but today I decided we’ll use a roasted red pepper hummus with lemon juice added to give it a nice tangy kick of flavor-its seriously the best! Hummus is a great option because not only is it super accessible, I mean most grocery stores carry hummus now days, but it’s also a great compliment to this recipe because it’s chickpea based and most hummus on the market today also contains tahini in it so its a win win!
