    You are going to love these healthy Apple and Avocado snacks because they are super quick and easy!   perfect for an after school snack or just a quick pick me up between meals!

    few facts about Apples:

    full of a flavanoid called that protects your bones

    helps protect against breast cancer, lung cancer, colon cancer, and liver cancer

    helps manage diabetes

     

    these Apple Slices with Cinnamon Chocolate PB are so tasty!... I'm telling ya the crisp-ness of the cold apple topped with cinnamon-y chocolate peanut butter AND walnuts! I mean what could be better AND healthy at the same time! it's seriously like a dessert... and easy... and super fast... I don't know what more convincing you could need, I mean I am such a sucker for foods that are 3 things : 1.Easy 2. Delicious 3. Healthy and this totally meets all 3 standards 😉

    Apple Slices with Cinnamon Chocolate PB

    Ingredients

    Scale
    • 1 apple
    • 1 ½ TBSP all natural organic peanut butter (melted for better mixing)
    • 1 ½ tsp dark cocoa powder
    • ½ tsp cinnamon
    • ¼ tsp all spice
    • ¼ cup chopped walnuts

    Instructions

    1. first slice your apple into slices (or wedges if you want to use this as a dip instead of a spread for your apple)
    2. put you PB into a bowl and microwave it for about 10-15 seconds, remove from microwave and add you cocoa, cinnamon, and allspice and mix well (adjust additionally based on your own tastes)
    3. eaither spread it over you apple slices OR place in a small bowl for dipping you wedges into
    4. sprinkle walnuts over the top of you slices OR place them on the side if you choose to dip your apple wedges

    this is so fast and extremely filling ... I absolutely adore avocados they are like creamy good-ness ... although I love guacamole and other avocado dips like my chunky healthy vegan chip dip I love it most when it's just straight out of it's shell (is that what it would be called? shell? skin?...??? not sure comment below!)

    anyways this is so fast and simple and you never regret a healthy snack 😉

    Ingredients

    Scale
    • 1 avocado
    • 3-5 cherry tomatoes
    • ¼ of an onion

    Instructions

    1. slice and core your avocado
    2. chop (and de-seaded if you like to) you tomatoes into very small pieces
    3. chop you onion into very small pieces
    4. put you tomato and onions into the center of the avocado

    Notes

    Also really good mashed and spread on a piece of toast!

      I love these snacks, Michele! So healthy but with a touch of sweetness, this would definitely make me pass up chocolate any day! 🙂 Your avocado snack looks beautiful, too. I never thought about adding tomatoes and onions in the middle. Love it!
