These Chocolate Frosted Cinnamon Donuts are super light and moist in the center with a rich chocolate frosted top, only require 1 bowl and vegan or course!
¼cupmelted vegan butterI use Earth Balance in the red tub
¼cuppure maple syrup
1teaspoonvanilla
¼cupunsweetened plain apple sauce
1tablespoonvegan cane sugar
2tablespoonbrown sugar
¼cupnon-dairy milkI like SILK Almond
¼teaspoonapple cider vinegar
DRY INGREDIENTS:
1cupunbleached all purpose flour
1Pinchof sea salt
½teaspoonbaking soda
1 ½teaspoonbaking powder
1tablespooncinnamon
FROST
⅓cupmelted vegan chocolate chips
1tablespoonpowdered/confectioners sugar
Instructions
Pre-heat the oven to 350˚ F grease a donut pan with nonstick spray
In a large mixing bowl melt the vegan butter in the microwave and then mix in the rest of the wet ingredients.
Add in the dry ingredients and stir really well.
Pour the batter into a grease donut pan tray and place in pre-heated oven to bake for 15 minutes.
Wash out the bowl and make the glaze, melt the chocolate chips in the microwave stirring every 10-15 seconds until smooth, mix in the confectioners sugar.
Let donuts cool for about 15 minutes and using a spatula frost the tops of the donuts and either enjoy warm or let the chocolate set which will take about 2 hrs.
