In a small/medium pan on medium heat add your water and almond milk let heat for a minute or so.
Then add you vanilla, maple syrup part of the cinnamon (keep some for sprinkling over the top) and salt.
Let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes then add your small chopped apples.
Once the liquid starts to boil add your oats and let boil until the oats soak up the liquid and form a nice "oatmeal" texture.
Turn off heat once desired texture is reached and pour into bowl or on a plate.
Sprinkle cinnamon on top and enjoy!
Notes
*** My oatmeal container said ½ cup oats to 1 cup liquid... for me that was too runny of texture thats why I did ALMOST a full cup of oats (¾ plus 1 tbsp) for my 1 cup liquid.
