Ingredients
For a full list in ingredients and quantities check out the recipe card below for this Lemon Lime Spritzer.

- Sparkling Water: Give this a nice bubble and special drink experience.
- Lemon Juice: Used to flavor the drink giving it sweetness and tangy pungent flavor.
- Lime Juice: Used to flavor the lemon lime spritzer and helps to balance the lemon out.
- Pure Maple Syrup: I used this as my sweetener of choice, if you prefer a different sweetener thats fine.
Variations
- Add Other Fruit: Feel free to add some raspberries or strawberries to this drink to switch up the flavor. You can mash them really well and add them right in which will leave texture or you can smash and strain the juices through a mesh strainer so you just get the flavor and no pulp.
- Use a different fruit: This is a lemon lime spritzer but you can easily swap the lemon and the lime out for other fruits you like. Strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries or even watermelon are some other options.
- Frozen: If you freeze your fresh fruit or use a bag of frozen fruit it can take the place of the ice cubes to keep it a cool and flavorful drink.
How to make this Lemon Lime Spritzer

Step 1: Slice the lemon and lime in half and squeeze the juice out. (strain the seeds if there are any, it will take about 1 large lemon and 2 small limes to get the ¼ cup of each needed)

Step 2: In a large pitcher or jar add your sparkling water and lemon, lime juice as well as maple syrup or sweetener of choice which is optional not required. Stir and serve with ice. Enjoy immediately or store in the fridge for 1-2 days but the sparkling water will go flat.
Expert Tips
- Pulp: If you don't want pulp you can run the lemon and lime (and other fruit if you choose to add) through a mesh strainer to catch any larger pieces of pulp.
- Water: Use sparkling water, the bubbly water really makes this taste next level and special.
- Mix what you will use: If you don't use the whole container of sparkling water I would store it in the fridge in the original bottle, it will still loose some of it's bubbles but it will usually maintain some bubbles for a day maybe two. Mix with lemon and lime as needed right before serving.
Recipe FAQs
This a a drink served with carbonated or bubbly water that can be made with or without alcohol.
Lemon juice in a bottle is not the same as real lemons the flavor is different and it usually has additives and preservatives making it shelf stable.
It is not the same, lemon water is basically lemon juice that’s diluted with water and only has trace amounts of pectin, but juice of a whole lemon contains more than vitamins, minerals and fiber. (but the flavor is much more sour and bitter)
It keeps you hydrated and gives you a drink in place of soda, juice or milk.

I went cold turkey off soda years ago and honestly, since then it just tastes really gross and too sweet. And this is coming from ME, a dessert addict. So it's gotta be bad stuff. And this time of year, a twist of lime and/or lemon in sparkling water is so refreshing, with or without sweetener. Love your recipe!
