this Holiday DETOX Apple Strawberry Smoothie is just what you need to get back on track and feel energetic after all the holiday feasts! it's one of my favorite fruit combinations, super sweet! 😉Â
I can’t believe the holiday season is already over! It’s already January 6th can you believe it?!
I hope you all had an amazing holiday/new years!
So I don’t know about you but I love smoothies as a way to feel healthy and full of energy, actually I just love smoothies in general I have them practically Every. Single. Morning.  😉
I know some of you might need some healthy fruit smoothie/breakfast ideas so this one is one of my favorites because it’s super sweet and the color is beautiful it makes me feel like I am on a tropical island (not to self:  get little umbrella things to put on the top of the drink)
Anyways, like I said I love smoothies it might be an obsession? Not sure…. But if I have to be somewhere I’ll get up early just to MAKE SURE I have time to make one otherwise I get… (Trying to think of a nice way to put it) crabby? I’m not sure that’s what Nick would call it but you know what I mean! HA 😉
So what’s in this sweet pretty pink glass?
Apples- and apple a day keeps the doctor away right?
Banana – super filling and adds the creamy texture to the smoothie otherwise they sometimes tend to be like a slushy.
Strawberries  –  vitamin C and more, pretty color, sweet, and a great combo with apples and bananas.
I blended mine with coconut water you could use water but coconut water is really hydrating and I drink water all day long anyways! I like to use the ZICO brand of coconut water, just the plain flavor. I have tried other brands and until I tried this brand I had pretty much given up on it because a lot of them tasted like Chap Stick or plastic! (no I am not being paid to say this, it’s my honest opinion, and I have only tried the plain flavor)
I also tossed some ice in there just because it helps to keep it cold and I like it. 😉
Of course if you like protein powders or extra boost powder things go for it! Add it in there, I personally don’t like the taste I like just the fruits but it’s totally your choice!
Tell me what your favorite fruit combo is?!?!?!
