- Frozen Fruit: I used frozen blueberries, raspberries and strawberries for this no banana smoothie. I like this combo because it keeps it sweet without needing anything else.
- Oat Milk: I like the neutral flavor of the oat milk best but you can swap for any other non-dairy milk you like better.
- Hemp Seeds: Adds extra nutrients.
- Cashew Butter: Again like the oat milk I like that cashew butter has a neutral flavor and it also adds some healthy fats.
- Yogurt: This one is important, I use coconut unsweetened yogurt. Be sure to use a yogurt that you like the taste of because you will be able to taste the yogurt in this smoothie so make sure it's one you like the taste of.
Variations
- Nut Butter: Nut butter adds some healthy fats to this dairy free smoothie. You can add any nut or seed butter to this berry smoothie without banana. I used cashew butter but feel free to swap it for another nut butter (peanut butter or almond butter) you like or you can make it a nut-free smoothie with sunflower seed butter.
- Variations: This smoothies without dairy and you’d never know it, the tastes of these 7 ingredients are perfect, but yes you can easily switch up the berries or even add more berries like frozen blackberries, mango or pineapple what ever berries you like, it will change the taste some.
- Greens: You’ve got a smoothie recipe without banana that tastes perfect and you can easily add 1-2 stems of kale into this mixture and you’ll hardly even notice the taste of them, it won't be a green smoothie but it will definitely be more nutritious with some greens added.
- Toppings: Yes, the berry smoothie without banana you can absolutely add your favorite toppings to, pick your favorite frozen berries or fresh, fruits or even vegan chocolate chips, drizzling nut butter, sprinkle coconut flakes or rawnola on top or any other topping you’d like.
- More Protein: Smoothies without dairy will still taste great if you’d like to add a scoop of your favorite plant-based protein powder to this Berry Smoothie No Banana giving you a protein smoothie. You could also add some chia seeds for some extra protein. (I like to soak my chia seeds in water for 5-10 minutes before consuming, or let the smoothie sit for 5 minutes after it's done so the chia seeds can soak up moisture from the smoothie and not from you)
- Smoothie Bowl: You can definitely make this a mixed berry or blueberry smoothie bowl if you want by putting it in a bowl and adding some of the topping listed above.

Expert Tips
- Use frozen fruit: This is a super easy smoothie recipe without banana, for this smoothie be sure the blueberries, strawberries and raspberries are frozen, the frozen fruits blend easier in the blender and it also helps to keep the smoothie nice and cold.
- Optional homemade milk: Smoothies without diary recipes are made using non-dairy milk, if you’d like to try using a homemade non-dairy milk, feel free to try one of our homemade recipes that are non-dairy milks such as our oat milk, cashew milk, coconut milk, or almond milk.
- Serve immediately: This Berry Smoothie No Banana will not keep well in the fridge it is best to enjoy right away, which is the same for most smoothies. If you chill it in the fridge their texture begins to deteriorate, I do not recommend storing any smoothies in the fridge.
