Ingredients
For the full list of ingredients and quantities to make this Raspberry Smoothie recipe check the recipe card below.
- Frozen Raspberries and Strawberries: Gives the sweetness and flavor to the smoothie.
- Frozen Banana: Gives a creamy texture and filling component to the smoothie.
- Cashew Butter: Makes this raspberry smoothie more filling, adds extra protein and gives a hint of flavor.
- Coconut Yogurt: Gives a nice tang as well as creamy texture and probiotics, although I have left it out and it still tastes amazing.
- Coconut Water: Adds more nutrients to this raspberry smoothie.
- Oat Milk: I like oat milk smoothies because they have a creamy but any non-dairy milk will work.
Variations
- Cashew Butter: If you don’t like cashew butter feel free to swap it for another nut butter such as almond butter or peanut butter.
- Nut-Free: Replace the cashew butter with sunflower seed butter for a nut-free raspberry smoothie recipe.
- Protein Powder: Add a scoop of protein powder to this raspberry smoothie (I like pea protein for a mild flavor or hemp protein for a lot of added nutrients but the flavor does change a bit) or your favorite vegan vanilla protein powder would work great. I like Sun warrior brand.
- Add Greens: I love to add 1-2 stems of kale in my smoothie, in this particular smoothie you can hardly taste it and it’s a great way to get more greens in.
How to make this Raspberry Smoothie
Step 1: In a high speed blender, add the frozen raspberries, frozen strawberries, frozen banana, cashew butter, and yogurt.
Step 2: Add the coconut water and oat milk and blend until smooth. Serve Immediately.
Fresh, creamy, smooth blended raspberry smoothie.
Expert Tips
- Use frozen fruit: Be sure to use frozen strawberries, raspberries and banana as this helps to make the smoothie cold. If it is not cold enough for your liking, you can add 1-2 ice cubes.
- Try using homemade milk: This raspberry smoothie is great with one of my homemade non-dairy milk recipes such as our cashew milk, oat milk, coconut milk, or almond milk. Of course my favorite is a smoothie with oat milk but use what you like best.
- Serve immediately: Smoothies do not keep well and are best enjoyed right away. Even when chilled in the refrigerator, their texture will begin to deteriorate, so I don’t recommend storing them.
Recipe FAQs
I love to pair banana and other berries like strawberries, blueberries and blackberries with my raspberries whether it’s in a smoothie or fresh as a snack.
Yes you can eat raspberries and bananas together unless you have some kind of dietary restriction against it.
I like raspberries, strawberries, blueberries and blackberries the best for smoothies. They are full of vitamin C and antioxidants. I personally like to use frozen fruit in my smoothie because it gives a nice and cold texture while keeping it creamy smooth.

i made this but would recommend straining the berries after blending them alone - getting out the pips, then adding rest of ingredients and blitzing again. Happy Friday!
