1 Bowl Waffles that are gluten free, vegan and super easy to make! Forget the store bought waffles and make a healthier homemade waffle!
Got plans for breakfast this weekend? Or Sunday brunch? No? I’m glad you said that cause’ I think you should stay home in your pajamas and make a cozy waffle breakfast and enjoy it relaxing outside enjoying the beauty the nature has to offer!Â
OH! But don’t forget to prep the Strawberry Chia Jam a day or a few days prior cause you SO want it with these waffles I promise you it’s a perfect combo they kinda complete each other.Â
A few tips while making these 1 Bowl Waffles:
- no exceptions on the flour, I have only tested this recipe with the Bob’s Red Mill All Purpose GF Flour Blend in the RED PKG. the garbanzo fave bean blend NOT the rice flour blend!
- Make sure yo do not over cook the waffles, if you do you can simply throw them in the microwave for 15 second and it will soften them back up but just try to check them frequently so as to not overcook them.Â
The flavor of these waffles is pretty mild, like a plain vanilla neutral flavor cause’ that’s how I like my waffles it allows me to add flavor with my toppings but if that’s not your thang’ feel free to add a little cinnamon or chocolate chips right into the batter and whisk it up!Â
ok, so make these waffles and love life cause’ I know you’ll absolutely love them!Â
1 Bowl Waffles
Ingredients
WET INGREDIENTS:
- 1 ¼ cup non-dairy milk I like SILK almond plain unsweetened
- 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoon pure maple syrup
- 2 tablespoon melted vegan butter I use Earth Balance in the red tub
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon vegan cane sugar optional
- 1 Pinch sea salt
DRY INGREDIENTS:
- 2 - 2 ¼ cups all purpose gluten free flour I use Bob’s Red Mill in the Red PKG.
- 1 ½ teaspoon baking powder
TOPPINGS:
- Unsweetened plain coconut yogurt
- Strawberry Chia Jam
- pure maple syrup
- fresh fruit
- vegan chocolate chips
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl add all the wet ingredients and mix, then add all the dry ingredients and whisk well.
- Pour ½ cup serving sizes (or whatever size you like) onto your heated waffle iron and cook until done, for me it was about 5-6 minutes, I did try some at 9 minutes where they get a little golden brown but that was too long, they lost their softness, so just check them early and decide.
