How to make healthy Creamy Maple Brown Sugar Oatmeal in the microwave, with the best toppings that make it feel like a decadent dessert. Vegan and gluten free.

Seriously forget what you have planned for breakfast (or even lunch if you’re not a breakfast person) tomorrow because there’s a new favorite in town it’s creamy, rich and totally indulgent but it’s actually healthy and we call it by the name of Creamy Maple Brown Sugar Oatmeal! Might I also add it’s vegan and gluten free just incase anyone was wondering.
Sure you could argue that it’s not healthy because of the brown sugar that’s why I noted that you can easily swap that for coconut sugar and be just as happy. To be totally honest as long as you have the pure maple syrup you’d probably be just as happy with no sugar if you’re looking for something even more healthy.
The 3 ingredients that really make this Creamy Maple Brown Sugar Oatmeal recipe a star and taste so indulgent is the oatmeal, yogurt and the nut butter. The pure maple syrup and brown sugar is just for added sweetness. Obviously the cinnamon and chocolate doesn’t hurt either.
Now let talk for a second about cooking methods. For the sake of keeping it simple and less dishes I opted to microwave my oats but that’s totally a preference/lazy thing, if you want to cook the oats on the stove in a pot that’s perfectly OK just make sure you keep stirring it until it’s cooked so it doesn’t get stuck and burn to the bottom of the pot.
Ok, that’s really all I have for ya’ before we jump into the video I know you’re going to love this homemade creamy maple brown sugar oatmeal because it’s so comforting especially in these colder winter months and it literally like dessert.
